RKEWW draws its ideology- innovation & precision from its founder, Late Sree. P. Kanaka Raju, who is a Technocrat-Entrepreneur and a visionary.

He worked for more than two decades at India’s best university, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, and throughout his career, he gained technical expertise and experience in the field of Electrical Engineering. He has a unique business acumen and foresaw the market need for a one-stop solution for electrical machines. In the year 1950, he established Ramakrishna Electrical Winding Works (RKEWW) at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India. 

His successor Sree P.V.V. Durga Prasad has expanded its operations and has been catering services to Fortune 500 companies both domestically and internationally. Currently, RKEWW is led by the third generation Mr. P. Kanaka Raju & Mr. P. Krishna Prasad and has diversified its portfolios (manufacturing, servicing & spares trading) to serve the market requirements and expanded its footprint to other global markets.

In the past six decades, RKEWW has handled more  electrical machines ranging from fractional power to 600 MW, with multiple electro-mechanical issues, leading to in-house improvements in capabilities. Over these years, we have also gained trust both from customers and OEMs such as BHEL, SIEMENS, WEG, ABB & ELGI, etc,.

Mr. P.V.V.DURGA PRASAD ( CEO )

has over four decades of long and rich expertise in all the aspects of Technology, Marketing, Customer Relationship Management , Finance and Project Execution in the Electrical Industry.
He strongly believes in “Hard work, Quality and Customer Satisfaction” as the driving force for any organization.

Mr. P. KANAKA RAJU ( JMD )

holds Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Law and MBA from Coventry University, UK. He has undergone intense training at Toshiba Corp, Japan on the 700 MW Stator DM water based winding, Insulation & Testing.
He is a Technocrat and actively involved in the Production & Operation of the organization. His vision is to manufacture the specialized design Motors / Generators by collaborating with OEM Manufactures.

Mr. P. Krishna Prasad ( JMD )

holds bachelors degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Andhra University and MBA from Worcester Polytechnic University, USA.
He has undergone intense training at Toshiba Corp, Japan on the 600 MW Cylindrical Rotor winding, Insulation & Testing. Presently he is working with Research organization to develop special products for Space and Submarine application.

Mr. Hideaki Watanabe (Director Technical)

Worked as an Engineer / Advisor M/s. Toshiba Construction and engineering company, Tokyo, Japan and completed service for 31 years.
In Year 2000 Jointed to M/s. Al-Ghunaiman General Trad. & Const.Co.W.L.L. Kuwait and post of General Manager Independent works Viz installation of 168MVA,52MVA,10MVA HT Transformer at power station at Az-Zour power station

Mr. Varahala Rao Kavala (Technical Advisor )

is a former General Manager at M/s.Bharath Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), the largest Power Equipment Manufacturing Company in India. He holds Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering from Sri Venkateswara University During his tenure,
Mr. Varahala Rao handled many electro-mechanical turnkey projects related to thermal, hydro and wind power generation equipments. In his recent role, he was Director (Technical ) at ReGen Powertech Pvt.Ltd, Chennai and Board member till 2019. During his tenure at ReGen, he was instrumental in conducting technology (Gearless Wind Turbine Technology) transfer from M/s. Vensys, Germany and setting up of production plant for serial manufacturing of wind mills under the brand M/s. ReGen Powertech Pvt.Ltd, based at Tada, near Chennai Under his leadership, ReGen manufactured and installed 1500+ Wind turbines of 1.5 MW power rating across India and Sri Lanka. The present installed capacity of these wind turbines is 2250 MW. The Generator of the ReGen Wind Turbine is a Gear-less Permanent magnet Generator of 17 RPM constituting outer Rotor with permanent Magnets and inner Stator formed coils.

Mr. T. Sridhar ( Works Manager)

has 30 years of expertise in Project execution in India & Abroad for the Repair, Rewinding (Dismantling and Thread-out rotors) of large Steam / Gas Generators and Power transformers projects. He got trained at Toshiba Corp, Japan for the 260 MW Steam turbine generator Rotor. Apart from this he also executing projects in Navel dock yards, Hindustan Ship yard, Ship building center related to Vassals and Submarines.

Mr. A.K. Brahamam ( Consultant, Technical Advisor )

had graduated in Electrical Engineering from Andhra University joined M/s. Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Visakhapatnam. He retired as General Manager (Elect) from M/s. RINL having good experience in erection, troubleshooting, operation and maintenance of large electrical machines.
