Power Transformer
Below photo represents 16/20 MVA, 132/11 KV Bharat Bijlee made Power Transformer belongs to Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This Transformer failed due to heavy surge flash on winding, which disturbed the entire low voltage, high voltage & Tap Winding.
We RKEWW took up the entire repair of the Transformer complete windings were replaced with new electrolytic copper conductor. OLTC was repaired and overhauled and the new filtered oil was filled under vacuum condition in the transformer. Tan delta, Open circuit test, short circuit test, Oil Test, Turns Ratio, Megger Tests were carried out in the presence of the HPCL engineers.
